32-Year-Old Man Arrested in Connection With Oshawa Stabbing, Police Say
A 32-year-old man was arrested by Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) in relation to a stabbing that occurred in Oshawa on August 16, 2025. Officers arrested the suspect near Simcoe Street South and Olive Avenue at about 2:25 a.m. on August 20 while responding to a suspicious person call, according to a police news release.
The incident began on August 16, when police were called to Albert Street and Albany Street around 1:30 p.m. Officers found two people injured on the sidewalk and determined both had been stabbed. The victims were transported to a local hospital, where police report they remain in stable condition.
Police state that investigators identified a suspect and issued an arrest warrant following the incident. The suspect, identified by police as Treven Green, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, and four counts of breach of probation. DRPS reported that Green was held for a bail hearing.
