33-Year-Old Charged After Series of Break-and-Enters in Oshawa
A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with 13 break-and-enter incidents in Oshawa, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS). The arrest took place on August 14, 2025, following an investigation by the Central East Division Criminal Investigation Branch.
The charges relate to eleven break-ins at a storage facility in the area of Ritson Road South and Dean Avenue between May 28 and June 23, 2025. Police allege the same individual was responsible for break-ins at a church on July 12 and a business on August 5.
DRPS stated that investigators identified the suspect during the ongoing investigation and later arrested him without incident. The accused, Jesse Finch, 33, of no fixed address, faces multiple charges: 12 counts of Break and Enter to Commit, one count of Break and Enter with Intent, 11 counts of Disguise with Intent, two counts of Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possess Break-In Instruments, Theft of Motor Vehicle, and 13 counts of Failing to Comply with Probation.
Police also indicated that Finch was on probation for similar charges at the time of his arrest. He was held for a bail hearing. DRPS reported that all allegations remain unproven in court.
