Ajax Woman Charged After Multiple Potted Plant Thefts Reported by Police
A 47-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a series of potted plant thefts from homes in Ajax. According to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), the thefts took place during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 12, 2025. The incidents occurred at multiple residences near Westney Road and Delaney Drive.
The police stated that the suspect visited several homes between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., during which she stole several potted planters from the properties. Authorities reported that the suspect was arrested without incident on July 24, 2025, and that multiple stolen planters have been recovered. Police also said they are working to return these items to the affected residents.
Sandra Brown, age 47, of Ajax, has been charged with seven counts of theft under $5,000. She was released on an Undertaking after her arrest. The DRPS noted that the allegations have not been proven in court.
