Anderson Street in Whitby to close Nov. 14 and Nov. 17 for paving

Anderson Street in Whitby will close for one day on Friday, Nov. 14, between Rossland Road East and Taunton Road East, and for one day on Monday, Nov. 17, between Taunton Road East and Conlin Road, for road paving.

The work will be carried out on consecutive segments over two days. The schedule may change if weather is unfavourable. Current conditions and any updates are available on Durham Region’s TrafficWatch map at durham.ca/TrafficWatch.

Friday’s closure covers the block from Rossland Road East to Taunton Road East. Monday’s closure covers the adjacent block from Taunton Road East to Conlin Road. Taken together, the two dates span Anderson Street from Rossland Road East north to Conlin Road in Whitby.

Detour routes will be signed in advance, and local traffic will have access within the closure areas during the work.

The closures are to complete road-paving operations. Drivers are asked to use caution around the work zone for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews, Durham Region said.
