Bowmanville leash-free dog park to close March 23 to April 3, 2026, for lighting installation
The Bowmanville Leash-Free Dog Park will close from March 23 to April 3, 2026, for the installation of overhead lighting.
The temporary closure affects residents who use the park regularly and will limit access for about two weeks while crews complete the work.
The Municipality of Clarington posted the notice on March 19 and said crews would install new overhead lights at the park.
The municipality said the lighting is intended to improve visibility at the park and “make it safer” once the project is finished.
According to the notice, the park is expected to reopen on Friday, April 3.
The municipality’s posting did not list a project cost or name a contractor.
