Bowmanville Library Announces Special Summer Storytime Events and Holiday Schedule
All Clarington Library, Museums & Archives (CLMA) locations will be closed on Tuesday, July 1 for Canada Day.
Bowmanville Library will host a series of special storytime programs throughout July and August. All events are drop-in, open to all ages, and do not require registration.
Guest storytimes include a session with firefighters from the Municipality of Clarington Fire & Emergency Services on Wednesday, July 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A superhero-themed storytime featuring Spiderman is scheduled for Saturday, July 19 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Princess Mackenzie will lead a princess-themed storytime on Saturday, August 2 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Evening events include “Sleepover Storytime” on Thursday, July 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and “Dino Tales!” on Thursday, August 14 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., which will include dinosaur stories and activities.
Multilingual storytimes will also be offered at the Bowmanville Library. A Portuguese-English storytime takes place Saturday, July 5 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. French-English storytimes are scheduled for Mondays, July 14 and August 11 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. A Spanish-English storytime will be held on Saturday, August 16 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. CLMA states that no prior knowledge of the featured languages is required to participate.
All storytime events are held at the Bowmanville Library.
