Bus Detours Announced in Oshawa for Kars on King Event

Durham Region Transit will reroute three bus lines in downtown Oshawa on Friday, August 22, 2025, from noon to midnight due to road closures for the Kars on King event. The affected routes are PULSE 900, PULSE 901, and Route 902, according to Durham Region Transit.

The detours may affect riders traveling through downtown Oshawa during the event. Those planning to travel on these routes should be aware of the changes to avoid confusion on their journeys.

For the duration of the detour, PULSE 900 eastbound buses will use Park Road, Adelaide Avenue, and Ritson Road. Westbound PULSE 900 buses will travel via Mary Street, Adelaide Avenue, and Park Road. PULSE 901 buses will detour along Gibb Street, Park Road, and Adelaide Avenue. Route 902 will be redirected via Gibb Street, Park Road, Adelaide Avenue, and Ritson Road.

Durham Region Transit has stated that all stops along the detour routes will be served. Temporary stops will be available at Simcoe Street northbound and southbound at Adelaide Avenue, and at Park Road southbound at Bond Street.
