Bus Route Detours Announced for Ajax Santa Parade

Durham Region Transit has announced detours for several bus routes due to the Ajax Santa Parade scheduled for November 23, 2024. The parade will take place from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM, resulting in road closures that affect routes 216, 224, and 917.

Route 216: This route will operate via Fairall Street, Station Street, and Harwood Avenue, between Ajax Station and Harwood Avenue and Station Street.
Route 224: The service will detour via Westney Road and Dreyer Drive, between Ajax Station and Harwood Avenue and Westney Road.
Route 917: This route will operate via Westney Road, Dreyer Drive, and Pickering Beach Road, between Ajax Station and Bayly Street and Pickering Beach Road.

Temporary stops will be available at Westney Road southbound at Clements Road and Salem Road southbound at Bayly Street. All stops along the detour routes will be served during the event.
