CFIA issues Class 2 recall for Thit Ghe frozen crab meat over Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a Class 2 recall dated Dec. 15, 2025, for Thit Ghe brand frozen crab meat because of Salmonella contamination. The action covers 400 g packages identified by UPC 8 934966 034910 from lot VN557IV276 with a best-before date of 2027JN18. The recall notice lists distribution in Quebec.

The CFIA advises not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.

The recall notice, posted Dec. 16, 2025, in the CFIA system, lists the alert type as a Notification and places the item in the Food – Fish and seafood – Frozen category.

The posting includes identification number RA-81365 and CFIA ID 17089.

The recalling firm is Transhing Investment Inc.
