CFIA issues Class 3 recall of Leagel Cheesecake 50 Gelato Master School in Ontario over possible metal pieces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced on Oct. 27 a Class 3 recall of Leagel brand Cheesecake 50 Gelato Master School distributed in Ontario due to the possible presence of pieces of metal. The agency advised the product should not be used, sold, served or distributed. The recalling firm is The Gelato Guy Inc.

The alert targets hotels, restaurants, institutions and retail outlets in Ontario. The CFIA lists the issue as “Food – Extraneous Material,” and the alert type as “Notification.”

The affected product is Leagel Cheesecake 50 Gelato Master School, 2 kg, UPC 2 141703 525044. The batch number is 52504 with a best-before date of 07/2027.

The CFIA lists the recall class as Class 3 and the identification number as RA-78352. The product category is “Food - Candy, confectionary, snacks and sweeteners.”

According to the agency, the recall date is Oct. 16, 2025. The CFIA published the notification on Oct. 27, 2025, and lists the notice as last updated the same day.
