CFIA posts Class 2 recall notification for Aqua Gems Tempura Shrimp over undeclared egg

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a Class 2 recall notification for Aqua Gems brand Tempura Shrimp because the product contains egg that is not declared on the label. The product was distributed in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, and the recall date is listed as Aug. 7, 2026.

The CFIA says people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product, which is intended for retail sale.

The recalled product is Aqua Gems Tempura Shrimp sold in a 454 g package with UPC 8 13983 02039 8.

The CFIA lists the affected code information as: Lot no. 535T/KD. 2025, best before 2027 AU 09.

The recalling firm is AZ Gems Canada Inc (DBA Select Source Seafood), the CFIA notice states.

The identification number for the recall is RA-82483.
