CFIA recall notice issued for Redpath Medium Sugar (20 kg) over possible metal pieces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall notice for Redpath brand Medium Sugar (20 kg) because it may contain pieces of metal. The notice was published Oct. 9, and the recall date is Oct. 8, 2026; the product was distributed in Ontario and Quebec.

The notice is directed at hotels, restaurants and institutions, which the agency lists as the intended audience for the recall.

The CFIA said affected product should not be used, sold, served or distributed.

The recalled item is Redpath Medium Sugar in a 20 kg package. The UPC is 00062847030053 and the code is R6275.

The CFIA lists Redpath Sugar Ltd. as the recalling firm and identifies the recall as RA-82762. The recall is classified as Class 2, according to the agency’s notice.
