CFIA recall targets Heinz single-serve mayonnaise products over undeclared mustard

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a food recall notice for certain Heinz-brand single-serve mayonnaise products because they contain undeclared mustard. The notice covers products distributed in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

The notice matters for people with mustard allergies and for anyone who may be served these single-serve packets in public settings. The CFIA said the notice is aimed at hotels, restaurants and institutions, which are being told not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.

According to the CFIA, the affected products include Heinz Real Mayonnaise in a 12.5 ml single-serve unit. The agency’s listing shows no UPC and no product codes for that item.

The recall notice also includes Heinz Mayonnaise sold as a 6.25 L case size described as 500 x 12.5 ml single-serve units. The CFIA listed the UPC as 5 7000 0667200, with Best Before dates of 2027/3/27 and 2027/3/28.

The CFIA lists Kraft Heinz Canada ULC as the recalling firm. The agency classified the recall as Class 3.

The recall date in the notice is Sept. 14, 2026, and the identification number is RA-82641. The CFIA originally published the notice on Sept. 17, 2026.
