CFIA recall targets President’s Choice gingersnap cookies with specific UPC and best-before dates

President’s Choice English-Style Gingersnap Cookies (350 g) with UPC 0 60383 76819 5 are being recalled after metal wire was found in the product, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The CFIA lists the recall date as Oct. 6, 2026, and says the product was distributed nationally.

The notice matters for anyone who may have these cookies at home, including people who keep snacks for visitors or share food with family. The CFIA says consumers and businesses should check packages for the affected UPC and best-before dates.

The CFIA lists the affected best-before dates as 2027 FE 08 and 2027 MR 14.

The agency’s guidance says people should “not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.”

The CFIA categorizes the issue as “Food – Extraneous Material,” and lists the recall as Class 2.

Loblaw Companies Limited is listed as the recalling firm. The CFIA identification number for the recall is RA-82751.
