CFIA recalls Cardinal Roadhouse chicken burgers sold in Ontario and two other provinces over undeclared egg
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notice for Cardinal Roadhouse brand Chicken Burgers because the product contains egg that is not declared on the label. The recall is dated Aug. 20, 2026, and the CFIA last updated the notice on Aug. 21, 2026. The agency said the product was distributed in Ontario, as well as British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The notice is aimed at retail distribution, meaning the product may have been sold in stores and could be in home refrigerators or freezers. Undeclared egg can pose a risk for people with an egg allergy.
The CFIA says not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
The recalled item is Cardinal Roadhouse Chicken Burgers sold in an 852 g package containing six 142 g burgers.
The UPC on the recalled package is 0 63351 01567 3 and the code is 2026 NO 17.
Cardinal Meat Specialists Ltd. is listed as the recalling firm.
The CFIA lists the recall as Class 2 and assigned it identification number RA-82517.
