CFIA recalls Coaticook frozen mild cheddar curds distributed in Quebec due to Listeria

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a Class 1 recall for Coaticook brand Mild Cheddar Curds - White, Frozen (2 kg) because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The CFIA said the product was distributed in Quebec, and it lists the recall date as Aug. 12, 2026.

The notice applies to warehouse distribution and includes specific identifiers that warehouses and handlers can use to match stock, including a UPC and date codes.

The CFIA said the affected product should not be used, sold, served or distributed.

The recalled item is Coaticook Mild Cheddar Curds - White, Frozen in a 2 kg package. The UPC is 10059263525017.

The codes listed on the product are “Fabrication” 22JL26 and BB 2028-01-20.

The recalling firm is Laiterie de Coaticook Limitée.

The CFIA lists the identification number for the recall as RA-82488. The notice shows an original published date of Aug. 14, 2026.
