CFIA recalls Compliments Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers due to undeclared egg
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled Compliments Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers because the product contains egg that is not declared on the label. The agency last updated its recall notice on Aug. 6, 2026.
The recall matters for people with egg allergies, who could have a reaction if they eat the product. The CFIA said the affected item was distributed nationally.
The CFIA advised: “Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.”
The recalled product is sold under the Compliments brand and listed as “Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers.” The package size is 680 (8 x 85 g), with UPC 0 55742 58333 5.
The CFIA listed the affected codes as BB 2027-JA-06 and Lot:00099193.
Leadbetter Foods Inc. is listed as the recalling firm. The recall is dated July 31, 2026 (identification number RA-82453).
