CFIA recalls multiple processed meat products sold online and in Quebec over possible Listeria

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a food recall warning for multiple processed meat products sold online and in Quebec because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The agency’s recall notice was last updated July 17, 2026.

Listeria can cause serious illness, particularly in pregnant women, older adults and people with weakened immune systems, the CFIA says.

The CFIA list includes products under the brands Charcuterie Charlevoisienne, Clément Le Gourmand, Joe Smoked Meat and Alimentation Épicier(e). The recalling firm is Boucherie Charcuterie Lyn Tremblay Inc., according to the agency.

The CFIA says people should not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled products, and that recalled items should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.

Examples from the CFIA’s affected-product list include Alimentation Épicier(e) “Jambon forêt noire tranché” (175 g; UPC 6 28114 28141 4; Lot 00023) and Charcuterie Charlevoisienne “Bacon fumé” (250 g; UPC 6 28114 26040 2; Lots 00055, 00056, 00057).

The recall also covers unbranded sausage products sold at So-Cho Le Saucier locations in Quebec: “Saucisse Suisse cuite” (400 g; Lot 00035) and “Saucisse Suisse cuite” (0.925 kg; Lots 00035, 00036, 00037), as well as “Saucisse Octoberfest” (0.925 kg; Lot 00015).

The CFIA says the recall was triggered by test results and that there have been no reported illnesses linked to the products. The agency says it is conducting a food safety investigation that could lead to other products being added to the recall, and it is verifying that recalled items are being removed from the marketplace.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause illness. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, and severe headache with neck stiffness. Anyone who thinks they became sick after eating a recalled product should contact a health-care provider, the CFIA says.

The recall is classified as Class 1 and carries identification number RA-82354.
