CFIA recalls Nora’s Mint Chip non-dairy frozen dessert for undeclared peanut
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warned on Oct. 8, 2026, that Nora’s brand Mint Chip Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (500 mL) is being recalled because it contains peanut that is not declared on the label. The product was distributed in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and the agency said it may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.
The CFIA said people who are allergic or sensitive to peanut should not consume the recalled product, because it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.
The affected item is sold as Nora’s Mint Chip Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert in a 500 mL container. The UPC is 6 27843 81424 5, with code TG-BF093T and best before date 03APR2028.
The CFIA said the product should not be served, used, sold or distributed. It also said recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
The recall was triggered by CFIA test results, the agency said. It also reported that there have been no reported reactions linked to consumption of the product.
The CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products, and that it is verifying industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.
Nora’s Non-Dairy Ltd. is listed as the recalling firm. The CFIA classified the recall as Class 1, and the identification number is RA-82637.
