CFIA Recalls North Shore Fishery Shrimp Products in BC and Manitoba for Undeclared Allergens

North Shore Fishery brand Frozen Breaded Shrimp Patties and Frozen Tempura Shrimp Roll are being recalled, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recall affects products distributed in British Columbia and Manitoba due to undeclared egg, soy, and milk ingredients.

The CFIA states the affected products may pose a risk for individuals with allergies or sensitivities to egg, soy, or milk. This recall is important for residents who may have purchased these products and are unaware of the undeclared allergens.

The recalled items include:

  • Frozen Breaded Shrimp Patties (400 g, 10 pieces, UPC 8 00794 39089 5, Best Before 2026.09.06, code VN443IV030)
  • Frozen Tempura Shrimp Roll (300 g, 10 pieces, UPC 8 00794 39080 2, Best Before 2026.09.07, code VN443IV030)

According to the CFIA, the recall was triggered by test results obtained during a food safety investigation. The agency reports there have been no documented allergic reactions linked to these products.

Watson Enterprises Inc. is identified as the recalling firm. The CFIA advises checking if you have the recalled products and, if so, not to consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute them. The agency recommends that affected products be discarded or returned to the place where they were purchased. The CFIA reports it is overseeing the removal of these products from the marketplace and states that the investigation may lead to further recalls.

This recall is classified as Class 1 by the CFIA and is assigned identification number RA-77545.
