CFIA recalls TS Sushi EBI frozen cooked shrimp for Quebec hotels, restaurants and institutions
Hotels, restaurants and institutions in Quebec should not use, sell, serve or distribute TS brand Sushi EBI Frozen Cooked Shrimp after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall notification for chemical contamination, last updated Feb. 13, 2026.
The notice is aimed at commercial and institutional kitchens and includes specific product codes to help businesses identify whether they have the affected shrimp in storage or in use.
The CFIA said the product is recalled due to contamination with 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone.
The affected item is TS Sushi EBI Frozen Cooked Shrimp (Size: 3L), sold in a 155 g package with UPC 8 16553 00490 3.
The CFIA listed the affected codes as 2027 JN 02 and VN499VI029CAN.
The recalling firm is Transhing Investment Inc., according to the agency. The CFIA classified the recall as Class 3.
The recall date is Feb. 11, 2026, and the identification number on the notice is RA-81601. The CFIA listed distribution as Quebec.
