CFIA updates recall for Kevin’s Natural Foods turkey gravy sold in four provinces due to undeclared mustard
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) updated a food recall warning on Oct. 9, 2026, for Kevin’s Natural Foods Turkey Gravy (1.33 L) sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, saying the product contains mustard that is not declared on the label. The CFIA’s distribution list does not include Ontario.
People who are allergic or sensitive to mustard could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the recalled gravy, the agency said.
The CFIA identified the recalled product as Kevin’s Natural Foods Turkey Gravy in a 1.33-litre size with UPC 8 10264 02763 3. The affected best-before codes are BB: 2026 DE 07 and BB: 2026 DE 12, in cases “where mustard is not declared on the label,” according to the recall notice.
The recalling firm is CalChef Foods, LLC. The CFIA said the recall was triggered by the company.
The CFIA said there have been no reported reactions associated with consumption of the product.
For people checking products at home, the CFIA said consumers can look at the UPC and best-before code to see whether they have the recalled gravy. The agency also said the recalled product should not be served, used, sold or distributed, and should be thrown out or returned to the location where it was purchased.
The CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The agency also said it is verifying that the recalled product is being removed from the marketplace.
The recall is classified as Class 1. The identification number is RA-82767.
