Clarington Approves Inclusive Spaces – Anti-Racism Policy

On March 21, 2022, the General Government Committee of Clarington approved the Inclusive Spaces – Anti-Racism Policy as outlined in Report CSD-006-22. The committee directed staff to develop a Standard Operating Procedure to support this new policy, which will be approved by the Chief Administrative Officer. Additionally, the municipality will request to join the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities and endorse its 10 Common Commitments. The Mayor was authorized to sign the Declaration associated with this initiative. Staff were also directed to take any necessary measures to join the Coalition, including the development of a plan of action.

Ontario Tech named ‘Most Sustainably Improved’ in 2025 UI GreenMetric; receives Durham Region sustainability award
