Clarington Approves Veterans' Crosswalk at King and Temperance Streets

Clarington's General Government Committee has approved the design for a new Veterans' crosswalk at the intersection of King Street and Temperance Street. This crosswalk will be funded up to $30,000 from the Tax Rate Stabilization Reserve Fund, as outlined in Report CAO-007-25.

The crosswalk will be located on the north side of the intersection. An opening ceremony is planned for October 31, which will include the raising of the Poppy Flag to commemorate veterans.

These decisions were discussed and approved during the General Government Committee meeting held on April 7, 2025.
