Clarington Fall Recreation Program Registration Opens September 3

Registration for Clarington’s fall swimming lessons, group fitness classes, 55+ Active Adult programs, and other recreation programs opens at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, the municipality announced.

This registration period includes new 55+ programs focused on art, music, dancing, cooking, and storytelling, as well as expanded pre-registration options for drop-in sports, according to the municipality. Older residents and other community members may find new program formats and pre-registration dates useful for planning autumn activities.

The municipality stated that pre-registration for shinny hockey is being expanded to cover youth, adult, women’s, 55+, 65+, and 70+ drop-in sessions. Pre-registration for pickleball and basketball drop-in sessions will begin on September 15 for the upcoming fall season.

For swimming lessons, the Learn-to-Swim guide is available to help identify appropriate levels, and lifeguard assessments can be requested during public swim sessions, the municipality advised.

In-person registration is being offered at Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre, Courtice Community Complex, Diane Hamre Recreation Complex, Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, and South Courtice Arena during regular hours.
