Clarington Launches 'What's up in Clarington?' Online Information Site
The Municipality of Clarington has launched an online resource called "What's up in Clarington?" to provide residents with information on municipal issues. According to a municipal announcement dated June 13, 2025, the site covers topics such as cell service improvements, projects at the Courtice waterfront, future dog parks, ice pads, a new skating trail, amenities at the South Bowmanville Recreation Centre, and property taxes.
The website was introduced after the Municipality noted a need for a single place where residents could find updates on current projects and local matters. The announcement states that the tool is intended to help residents avoid relying on speculative information from social media or word-of-mouth.
The Municipal announcement further indicates that the site will cover subjects the Municipality identified as frequently discussed in the community. The Municipality states that the site will continue to add more topics as needed.
"What's up in Clarington?" is part of the Municipality's 2024-27 Strategic Plan and can be accessed through the official municipal website.
