Clarington Library Announces Three Author Events for Fall 2025

Three author events are scheduled in Clarington for fall 2025, according to the Clarington Library, Museums & Archives. Michelle Good will hold an online session via Zoom on Tuesday, September 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. The library states this event is for adults and requires registration. Good is the author of "Five Little Indians" and a member of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation in Saskatchewan. She will read from her work, "Truth Telling: Seven Conversations about Indigenous Life in Canada," and discuss her writing. The library notes this event is presented with the Public Libraries of York and Durham Region.

The Clarington Library schedule lists additional author events at the Bowmanville branch during the fall. According to the schedule, Shari Lapena is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The library indicates this event is for adults and is a drop-in session. Lapena is the author of eight books, including "The Couple Next Door." She will speak about her most recent book, "She Didn’t See It Coming," followed by a question and answer session.

According to the Clarington Library, Ted Staunton will visit the Bowmanville branch on Thursday, November 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. This session is intended for students in grades 5 to 7, according to the library. Staunton has written more than 60 books, including picture books, middle-grade novels, and young adult titles. The library states that registered class visits are welcome for this program.
