Clarington Library, Museums & Archives Closed for Labour Day, Regular Weekend Hours Remain
All branches of the Clarington Library, Museums & Archives (CLMA) will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labour Day, according to information posted on the organization’s website. Regular hours will be in effect for all locations on Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31.
This closure impacts those planning to visit the library, museums, or archives during the Labour Day holiday. The advance notice allows residents to plan their visits ahead of the statutory holiday.
The CLMA’s website also features the Library of Things collection, which is available to members. Current items available for borrowing include telescopes for stargazing, GoPro cameras for capturing outdoor activities, Back2Nature hiking kits, and community passes to attractions such as Reptilia, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Canadian Automotive Museum.
Details about the holiday hours and the Library of Things collection were published on the CLMA website on August 27, 2025.
