Clarington library says online program calendar may be unavailable Aug. 11–12 during system change
Clarington Library, Museums & Archives says its online program calendar (events.cplma.ca) may be unavailable from Tuesday, Aug. 11 to Wednesday, Aug. 12 as staff prepare to launch a new program calendar and resource booking system.
The calendar is used to browse library programs and events and to register for some activities. During the interruption, the library says residents can continue to browse upcoming events in its Program Guide.
In an Aug. 10 service announcement, the library said the new platform will allow users to browse programs and events by interest and age group, register for programs online, and filter listings by location.
The library also said the system will show meeting-room availability and allow residents to request meeting rooms online.
The platform will also include online browsing and reservations for “Book Club in a Bag” kits, according to the service announcement.
For paid programs, the library said online registration will include an option to pay through the Square payment platform. The library said people will also be able to pay in person at a library location or by phone with a credit card.
