Clarington library schedules nine drop-in “Family Storytimes” with guest readers at three branches

Clarington Library, Museums & Archives has scheduled nine drop-in, all-ages “Family Storytimes: Special Guests!” sessions at its Bowmanville, Newcastle and Courtice branches, with events set on select dates from Wednesday, July 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 18. Each session is listed as running from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

The series includes guest readers drawn from local public service and municipal leadership, including Mayor Foster, Fire Chief Lamport, library CEO Monika Machacek, and councillors. The events are listed as featuring stories, songs and rhymes.

Bowmanville Library is scheduled to host five sessions. The guest readers listed are Monika Machacek on Wednesday, July 8; Councillor Traill on Wednesday, July 15; Councillor Rang on Wednesday, July 22; Fire Chief Lamport on Monday, July 27; and Mayor Foster on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Newcastle Library has two sessions listed: Councillor Zwart on Tuesday, July 21, and Councillor Woo on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Courtice Library also has two dates scheduled: Councillor Elhajjeh on Thursday, July 23, and Regional Councillor Anderson on Thursday, Aug. 13.
