Clarington Mayor Delivers Canada Day Message to Residents
Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster issued a statement on June 30 in advance of Canada Day. In his message, Foster extended Canada Day greetings to residents, recognizing both those attending public events and those celebrating privately.
Foster's statement included references to this year’s global economic challenges and trade tensions. He stated that solidarity and pride are sources of strength for both Clarington and the nation.
Foster also encouraged residents to honour past generations, consider the ongoing path toward reconciliation, and celebrate values of equality, fairness, freedom, and respect. The statement was released by the Municipality of Clarington ahead of the national holiday. The announcement did not include details about local events or official gatherings.
