Clarington municipal offices, animal shelter and recreation facilities closed Oct. 12 for Thanksgiving

Clarington’s Municipal Administrative Centre, Hampton Operations Depot, Clarington Animal Shelter and all municipal recreation facilities will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, for Thanksgiving.

Residents can still make urgent service requests on the holiday Monday. Municipal law enforcement officers and public works staff will be available to monitor and respond to urgent requests and complaints, while non-urgent matters will be assessed Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Over the rest of the long weekend, recreation facilities will keep their regular schedules. Facilities will be open during regularly scheduled hours on Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, and programs will run as scheduled.

The Clarington Animal Shelter will be open for regular hours on Saturday, Oct. 10, and closed on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The municipality also says after-hours emergencies can still be reported by phone.
