Clarington Recognized Nationally for Public Engagement Kiosks

Clarington received the 2025 Excellence in Innovation Award from the Municipal Service Delivery Officials, according to a statement on the municipality’s website. The award was given for the municipality’s Clarington Connected engagement kiosks, the municipality reported.

The municipality stated that the kiosks were introduced in late 2023 as an in-house project. According to the municipality, the kiosks are intended to provide residents with information about municipal projects and allow them to share feedback. The municipality also claims to be the first in Canada to launch this type of engagement tool.

According to municipal sources, Melissa Westover, Manager of Strategic Communications and Initiatives, and Lee-Ann Reck, Deputy CAO of Public Services, accepted the award from the Municipal Service Delivery Officials. The kiosks are currently located at recreation facilities and Town Hall for resident use, the municipality reported.
