Clarington schedules lane restrictions and short-term road closures on three roads May–July 2026 for ditch and culvert work

Share

Clarington says drivers can expect lane restrictions and short-term road closures on parts of Maple Grove Road, Cigas Road and Hockaday Court from May to July 2026 as crews carry out ditching and culvert work.

The traffic changes affect a stretch of Maple Grove Road between Bloor Street and Baseline Road, Cigas Road between Trulls Road and Baseline Road, and Hockaday Court in Solina. For residents who use these routes regularly, the work may mean delays or detours during the construction period.

According to the Municipality of Clarington, the work involves maintenance and improvements to ditches and culverts on various roads in the municipality.

Clarington said lane restrictions and short-term closures will be used during the work on:

  • Maple Grove Road from Bloor Street to Baseline Road
  • Cigas Road from Trulls Road to Baseline Road
  • Hockaday Court in Solina

Clarington said crews will aim to avoid interrupting waste collection and mail delivery while the work is underway.

The municipality said timelines are approximate and may change depending on weather and other factors.

Clarington posted the construction notice on April 22, 2026.
