Clarington Seeks Community Views on MVP Celebration

Residents of Clarington are being invited to weigh in on the future of local MVP celebrations, which honor volunteer superstars, sports legends, and community champions. Traditionally, Clarington has recognized these contributions through separate gatherings.

Previously, the community held events such as the Clarington Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing athletes, coaches, and teams, and Celebrate Sport, a family-friendly event highlighting local sports. Additionally, the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon has acknowledged the hard work of volunteers, and Recognition at Council Meetings provided certificates for exceptional achievements.

The Clarington municipal government is now contemplating merging these events into a single celebration. Officials are seeking community input on this potential new format.

Local residents are encouraged to share their thoughts and suggestions regarding how best to celebrate Clarington's MVPs in this proposed unified event. Such feedback will help shape how future recognitions are organized.
