Clarington selling $40 Summer Splash Pass June 1–July 15; valid 90 days from purchase

The Municipality of Clarington says it is selling a “Summer Splash Pass” for $40, plus applicable taxes, with sales running from June 1 to July 15, 2026, and each pass valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

For residents who use municipal pools regularly during the summer, the limited sales period and the 90-day validity window affect how long a pass will cover, depending on when it is purchased.

According to the municipality’s notice, the pass provides unlimited access to drop-in public swims, lane swims, and parent-and-tot swims, as well as saunas and whirlpools at all municipal pool locations during scheduled times.

The municipality says passes can be purchased online or at any municipal recreation facility, excluding Orono Park Pool.

Clarington’s notice also lists several restrictions: the pass is valid for one person only, is non-transferable, is non-refundable, and is not eligible for cancellation.

The municipality says the pass can be used at four locations: Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre in Bowmanville, Courtice Community Complex, Diane Hamre Recreation Complex in Newcastle, and Orono Park Pool.

Clarington also says a new aquatics centre is planned to open in 2027 at the South Bowmanville Recreation Centre. The municipality’s notice says the facility will include a 25-metre lap pool and a large warm-water pool.
