Clarington sets Oct. 21–22 Mayor and Council forums in Bowmanville and Newcastle

The Municipality of Clarington will hold two Mayor and Council Fall Forums on Oct. 21 and 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Bowmanville and Newcastle to share ward updates and recognize community members, according to a municipal notice.

The municipality said the sessions are intended to let residents hear updates directly from their councillors and the mayor, with time afterward for informal conversation. It said the forums were developed from community input gathered for Clarington’s 2024–27 Strategic Plan.

The Wards 1 and 2 forum is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Highway 2, Bowmanville. The municipality described it as the west Clarington session.

The Wards 3 and 4 forum is set for Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex, 1780 Rudell Road, Newcastle. The municipality described it as the east Clarington session.

According to the municipality, Mayor Adrian Foster and Council will present ward-specific updates and recognize community members for positive contributions with the Mayor’s Office Challenge Coin. Light refreshments will be available after the presentation, and guests may speak with members of Council, the municipality said.
