Community Safety Day in Pickering Scheduled for September 27

Members of Durham Regional Police Service’s West Division and Pickering Fire will host Community Safety Day at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex in Pickering on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., according to a DRPS news release issued on September 22.

The event is open to local residents and will include a variety of activities and interactive displays, with details provided by DRPS.

According to the DRPS announcement, guests can view vintage police vehicles alongside other emergency vehicles. Attendees are encouraged by event organizers to bring a non-perishable food item for collection in support of a local food bank and to bring pop tabs in support of the DRPS Children’s Games. Activities are scheduled to occur at 1867 Valley Farm Road in Pickering, specifically in the East Gravel Lot and O-Brien Rooms A and B of the recreation complex.
