Construction near Clarington Town Hall in Bowmanville set for Feb. 9–12, 2026
Construction work around Clarington Town Hall at 40 Temperance St. in Bowmanville is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9 through Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, and may cause brief delays for drivers and pedestrians in the area.
The Municipality of Clarington says access to road crossings, sidewalks and the accessible entrance to Town Hall will remain open during the work, but some accessible parking will be temporarily changed.
Work will take place near the intersections of Wellington Street and Temperance Street, and Church Street and Temperance Street. Traffic and pedestrian controls will be in place during construction.
Two accessible parking spaces on Church Street will be blocked during the project. Accessible parking will be temporarily moved to Temperance Street in front of Town Hall, the municipality said.
Parking meters in the accessible permit-holder area will be offline during construction.
Residents may hear construction noise at times as crews dig to access underground utilities.
Bad weather could affect the schedule and cause delays, according to the municipality.
