Courtice Library hosts adult AI program Oct. 15; branches closed Oct. 13 for Thanksgiving
Courtice Library will host an adult program on artificial intelligence on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, from 5 to 6 p.m. All Clarington Library, Museums & Archives branches will be closed Monday, Oct. 13 for Thanksgiving, with regular hours on Saturday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 12.
Registration is required for the one-hour session, which is for adults. The program takes place at the Courtice branch in Clarington.
The program is titled “Understanding AI: Benefits, Risks and Everyday Power.” The session will cover how AI works, the benefits it may offer, and related ethical concerns. The event will include a live demonstration of ChatGPT.
The Oct. 13 holiday closure applies to all locations in the library system. Regular weekend hours remain in effect on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12.
