DLIP seeking five Durham Region residents for Newcomer Advisory Table; applications due Feb. 16

The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) is seeking five residents in Durham Region with first-hand newcomer experience to join its volunteer Newcomer Advisory Table, with applications due Feb. 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., according to Durham Region.

The advisory table is intended to give DLIP input from residents with lived newcomer experience as it plans its work in the region.

In a statement issued from Whitby, DLIP said it is looking for community residents who can provide “first-hand experience and insight as a newcomer.”

According to Durham Region, members who are selected will serve a one-year term and may renew.

An honorarium may be available for members, the region said.
