DRPS East Division Plans Community Safety Day in Bowmanville on June 7
Members of Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) East Division will hold Community Safety Day at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
DRPS states that the event will include activity displays, opportunities to view police vehicles, and a chance to meet members of the K9 unit. Other organizations scheduled to participate include Clarington Fire Services, Region of Durham Paramedic Services, and Ontario Power Generation, according to DRPS.
Food trucks will be present with food available for purchase, based on details provided by DRPS. The police service is encouraging those attending to bring a non-perishable food item for a “cram-a-cruiser” food drive, with donations to support local food banks. Residents are also asked to bring pop tabs in support of the DRPS Children’s Games.
