DRT Implements Detours at Ontario College Campuses Amid Labour Activity

Durham Region Transit (DRT) has announced that, starting September 11, 2025, detours are in place at some Ontario college campuses due to external labour activity. DRT states these detours are effective in impacted areas during periods of picketing.

This change affects transit riders traveling to or from affected college campuses when picketing is taking place. The detours may alter usual travel routes during those times, according to DRT.

DRT advises that updates, including details about specific impacted areas and detour routes, will be provided through their Service Alerts and Detours notices. The agency has thanked riders for their patience during this time.
