Durham College lists Nov. 7 Fall Open House date but no time or campus location

Share

Durham College has listed a Fall Open House for Saturday, Nov. 7 on its website, but the listing does not include a start time, an end time, or which campus will host the event.

The missing location information may affect visitors making plans because Durham College lists two main campuses—one in Oshawa and one in Whitby—on the same webpage.

The Open House date appears near the top of a Durham College blog post titled “How Open House can shape your Durham College experience,” which is dated Oct. 22, 2026. Alongside the date, the page includes the line “Come visit us at Open House.”

In the blog post, Durham College describes Open House as an event that invites guests “to explore the DC campus and connect with faculty and staff.” The post does not provide further event details such as a schedule or the campus location for Nov. 7.

The post also features Tracey Van Ooyen, identified as a 2026 graduate of Durham College’s Office Administration – Health Services program. Van Ooyen is quoted in the article describing her visit to a Spring Open House in April 2023, including meeting a classmate and speaking with a student life coordinator.

Van Ooyen is also quoted offering general advice for people attending an Open House, including visiting displays and booths, talking to staff and student representatives, asking questions, and learning about student support services.

In the footer of the same webpage, Durham College lists an Oshawa Campus at 2000 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa, and a Whitby Campus at 1610 Champlain Avenue, Whitby. The Open House listing itself does not specify whether the Nov. 7 event is planned for Oshawa or Whitby.
