Durham College Outlines Fall Campus Activities for Oshawa and Whitby Students
Durham College has posted information about fall campus activities at its Oshawa and Whitby campuses. Events begin in September with Fall Orientation, which, according to the college, includes activities such as movie night and the Get Involved and Services Fair.
The college posted this information on August 29, 2025, outlining a series of opportunities for students to participate in campus life for the new academic year.
Durham College states that Welcome Team volunteers wearing branded T-shirts will be stationed throughout the Oshawa campus in September to assist with directions. The college also reports that varsity sports—including softball, volleyball, basketball, and rugby—are set to take place, and that the annual Campus Cup event will feature the men’s and women’s soccer teams from Durham College and Ontario Tech University.
The college notes that interested students can volunteer with the DC Crew, a group of student volunteers that supports events such as Orientation and also creates content for the college's social media channels. According to the college, Campus Recreation at the Campus Recreation Centre will offer intramural teams, sports clubs, health programs, and free fitness classes.
Durham College lists more than 40 student clubs, with interests ranging from gaming and the arts to cheerleading and philanthropy. The college describes these clubs as student-created and managed. Additional information and a full list of activities can be found on the Durham College website.
