Durham College Recognizes Record 4,858 Graduates at 2025 Spring Convocation
Durham College presented credentials to 4,858 graduates at its 2025 Spring Convocation, held over eight ceremonies this week at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. According to the college, this is the largest graduating class in its history.
Durham College reported that the Class of 2025 included the first graduates from Clinical Bioinformatics, Recreation Therapy, and the Honours Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence programs.
The college announced that five individuals were recognized as Alumni of Distinction during the ceremonies for their contributions in their professional fields and communities.
The ceremonies also included the presentation of the first Durham College Alumni Association Outstanding Indigenous Graduate Award. According to the college, Brooke Wheeler, a Graphic Design graduate, received this award for demonstrated leadership within the Indigenous community.
A land acknowledgement provided by Durham College states that the college is situated on the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, covered under the Williams Treaties and within the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg.
