Durham College staff volunteer at Oshawa Centre gift-wrap station for Children’s Aid fundraiser
More than 50 Durham College staff volunteered on Dec. 19, 2025, at the Oshawa Centre gift‑wrapping station in Oshawa, raising money for the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation’s Holiday Hope campaign.
Wrap for Hope is a volunteer-driven fundraiser linked to the foundation’s Holiday Hope campaign. Proceeds from the gift‑wrap station support the Holiday Hope Shop, where parents and caregivers can select gifts and essentials at no cost.
Staff worked across day and evening shifts at the mall station, wrapping gifts, speaking with shoppers and encouraging donations.
“Wrap for Hope raises critical funds that support children, youth and families throughout the year. We are grateful to Durham College for volunteering at the Wrap for Hope station and helping make this work possible,” said Julie Van Hartingsveldt, executive director of the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation.
“We’re thrilled to offer our employees a meaningful way to give back,” said Ariel Sully, associate vice‑president, Advancement and Alumni Relations at Durham College.
