Durham Police Searching for Missing 85-Year-Old Man in Clarington

Durham Regional Police are searching for Howard, an 85-year-old man reported missing from Clarington. According to police, Howard was last seen at his residence on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 7:45 a.m.

Police and Howard’s family have expressed concern for his well-being. The information was released in a statement published by Durham police on August 28, 2025.

Durham police described Howard as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a slim build, grey hair, and a grey and brown beard. Howard is believed by police to have been wearing a black hooded sweater and grey shoes when last seen.

Police stated that Howard is associated with a black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck bearing the license plate AW 68887.

Anyone with information about Howard’s whereabouts is asked by Durham Regional Police to contact their local police service. In Durham Region, the number to call is 1-888-579-1520.

Police also advised that anonymous information can be submitted through Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca.
