Durham Region Announces Public Meeting on Bicycle Parking Guidelines
The Regional Municipality of Durham will hold an in-person Public Information Centre on September 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre, 500 Victoria Street West in Whitby. The session will focus on the Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project.
Durham Region stated that the event is intended to provide information about the project's aim to improve convenience, security, and the design of bike parking at busy public places across the region. The meeting offers residents, cyclists, visitors, and business owners an opportunity to review project details, ask questions, and share feedback, according to the Regional Municipality.
The municipality has indicated that the Bicycle Parking Guidelines Project is based on the vision described in the 2021 Durham Regional Cycling Plan. Durham Region stated that materials presented at the meeting will be made available afterwards on YourVoice.Durham.ca/BicycleParking, allowing those unable to attend to review session boards and documents online.
