Durham Region plans Bike Month activities June 1–30, including contests and weekly webinars
Durham Region says it will run Bike Month activities June 1–30, inviting residents, commuters, students and workplaces to take part in the Bicycle Friendly Business Challenge, the Smart Commute Bicycle Trip Logging Contest and weekly bike webinars.
Bike Month is a month-long cycling event held across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that brings together residents, workplaces, schools and community organizations, according to the Region of Durham.
The Region of Durham said it is organizing the June schedule in partnership with local municipalities and community partners.
The region’s schedule includes weekly webinars during June on topics such as cycling safety, cycling infrastructure and active transportation.
Some Bike Month activities include prize draws, the region said.
